I actually started in Irish
Setters and Golden Retrievers. As many people have I started in
Obedience. I didn't start with a breed that is well known in obedience
either. No, I started with an Irish Setter. Autumn was her name.
She was quite a character! With her I started in 4H where I learned
the basics of obedience training. I still remember my first dog
show. It was the BENCHED show in Portland, 1976. What a day! Well,
Autumn took 17! shows to finish her CD. After that I started working
for a woman, Edith Adams, that bred Kuvasz. She got me started
in conformation. The rest, as they say, is history.
That is my half sister pictured
with Autumn, my first Irish Setter.
Hope you will enjoy visiting.
If you do, please feel free to drop me a line. I am always eager
to talk dogs! This site is basically still a work in progress,
so visit every so often and check it out.
In addition to pages on my
dogs, I will have information on breeding, whether or not you
should. Information on how to find a "responsible" breeder,
and what to do once you do. Hope that this information is of some
help. Email me with any questions, and I will be more than happy
to try to answer them.
